In most cases (depending on the run), it is pricier to choose pipe end forming as an alternative to welding or brazing a swivel part to a pipe. In terms of leak tightness, a pipe end form is more reliable than brazed or a welded joint. Certain end forms achieve significant speed gains in the assembly of pipe systems compared to, for example, threaded or compression joints.
